MAYO RIVER DISTRICT
The Mayo River District includes the Moorefield Store, Nettle Ridge, Stella, Critz, Liberty, and County Line communities. The District has a wonderful variety of great churches to choose from. We have three dedicated and hard working volunteer fire/rescue depts. in the Moorefield Store Vol. Fire Dept., Patrick Henry Vol. Fire Dept., and Patrick Henry Vol. Rescue Squad. We are extremely well served by these organizations.
Relax and enjoy a weekend of camping and fellowship at Dominion Valley Park with owners Cecil and Barbara Hall. You will get to hear the best in gospel singing and true Virginia hospitality. Don't forget to visit Gordon Trent Golf Course and have a great day on a beautiful rolling course that will be sure to test your skills.
The historical home of R.J. Reynolds is located in the Critz community and is open for tours as well as classes offered at the onsite-learning center sponsored by Virginia Tech. The Reynolds Homestead offers many other activities throughout the year for the entire county. It is a treasured Patrick County landmark.
