Custodian of county records, including land documents, wills, probate records, marriages, and genealogical records. Also process passports, file and process divorces, land disputes, law suits, issue marriage licenses, game licenses, and process concealed weapon permits. Also serves as the Administrator for the Circuit Court, issuance of jury and supoena summons, prepare and record court orders, and process paperwork to other state agencies.
Effective July 1st, 2008, this office offers secure remote access to land records for a fee of $40.00/month. Please telephone the office at 276-694-7213 for an application and additional information.
